The Art of Wards: Morning Rounds

Sometimes I listen better when I'm drawing.  Every day, I spend hours on rounds in the hospital, listening to long-winded patients or attending physicians ramble on.  It can be too easy for me to drift off into my imagination, so today I doodled some of my thoughts on the pages I use for patient notes.  It's a balance though, sketching loosely enough to remain engaged in the clinical discussion.  I was getting too absorbed in the slithering monster, so I had to finish it later.

The materials I've used are just what I had in my lab coat pockets: regular printer paper, BIC yellow highlighter for rough sketch, and Pilot G2 0.5mm black gel ballpoint.
